Applications for Bangkok Theatre Festival 2017 (international productions)
Bangkok Theatre festival is a biggest theatre festival in Bangkok during the past 15 years. The performances in the festival are varies from text-based plays to mime or physical movement performances.
International productions are coming to the festival through selection and by submitting applications. We are gladly to inform that now we’re open for productions to join us in this upcoming festival.
The festival will be held from 3-19 November 2017. This year we are looking for 3 mini productions to perform at Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC). We are also open for other-scale productions to perform in different alternative theatre spaces in Bangkok. If you are interested in our festival, please check out the applications from below.
We are opening for applications from May to June and will send you the result in July.
There are 2 ways you can join BTF2017
(A) At our main venue, BACC
(B) At multiple small theatres across Bangkok
(A) At BACC
Mini Productions
The performances will be performed in the Mini Box at BACC. There are 3 slots of show dates for you. You can choose more than 1 slot. The festival will decide after we get all applications which slot would fit your production best. 4 shows are included in each slot (2 shows per day).
We will inform the exact showtime to you when your performance is accepted. The duration of the show must not exceed 45 minutes and it could be varies from text-based plays to physical movement or mime. Any requirements in need, please inform us in details.
The application can be summited from 1 May to 30 June and we will announce the result by the end of July.
Below is the requirements of applicants. Please note that you would not need to pay any cost until we have confirmed that your production is accepted to join the festival.

Application Requirements

All applicants must initially be a member of Bangkok Theatre Network.
Membership Fee for Foreign Applicants per one year – USD 100 (Est. 3,000 Baht)

Deadline for the application 30 June 2017

If your show is selected, the membership payment will be deducted from ticket sales.

All applicants must fill in the form and send back with 5 performance photos at the size of 300 dpi or not less than 1 MB (The photos will be used for the purpose of public relations processes). The application form and the photos must be returned to e-mail : bkktheatre@gmail.com

Conditions
a. The duration of the performance must not exceed 45 minutes.
b. Please concern that for the Mini Box productions, we would provide only 50 chairs for audiences. If there are any technical requirements (sound system, lighting system) out of the common facilities, the company must inform in this application and figure out how to adjust. We are happy to give you advice for possibilities.
c. Up to 15 percent from ticket sales will be deducted for the ticket management. (This exact share will be confirmed when your production selected.)

(B) other venues
Alternative theatre spaces in Bangkok
The performances will be performed in theatre venues around Bangkok during the festival time. Showtimes, duration of the show and other conditions are more flexible from shows in Mini Box at BACC. Terms and conditions will be based on mutual agreement between you and each theatre venue.
Your performance could be varies from text-based plays to physical movement or mime. Any requirements in need, please inform us in details. We will connect you to theatre venues that are interested in your performance.
The application can be summited from 1 May to 30 June and we will announce the result by the end of July.

Venue: We will suggest you after you send the application. However, the size of alternative theatre spaces in Bangkok are capable for 50 seats.
